Executive Director, Baker Library

Kenneth J. Peterson is the Executive Director for Baker Library at the Baker Library | Bloomberg Center at the Harvard Business School where he brings over two decades of library and knowledge management experience. In his role he collaborates with colleagues across the Harvard Business School, Harvard University, and beyond, supporting the needs of faculty, students, alumni, and researchers. A focus for his collaborations is embracing new research methods and reducing the barriers between the scholar and the research content they need for their scholarship or teaching.

Before joining the Harvard Business School, he held several library leadership roles at both public and private institutions where his efforts focused on reducing the friction of accessing content both through improved physical access and leveraging current and emerging technologies to provide digital access.

In addition to experience in library administration, knowledge management, collection development, and access strategies, Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of New Hampshire, Durham, and a Master of Science in Library Science from Simmons College, Boston.
