Identity Change and Complexity
Description
People in today's world have unprecedented access to different cultures and experiences, enabling them to develop identities that are highly complex and relatively dynamic. In order for people to effectively communicate with, collaborate with, and contribute to others in informal or organizational contexts, we must understand the cognitive, behavioral, social, and organizational processes that affect how identity change and complexity are dealt with. At present, I am exploring how people's identities can be framed in different ways that influence the extent to which others embrace or reject their change and complexity.
