Yusaku's interests lie in the dynamics of shared beliefs, shared values, and organizational capabilities, as well as the role of leadership in them. Of particular approach is to understand the ways in which beliefs become justified, socially, so as to become "justified true beliefs" (knowledge), and fuel innovation in the organization. Cost structures of those processes are also of his interest. It is also an attempt to incorporate the knowledge-based innovation theory into economics, envisioned by Peter Drucker: "Knowledge is the only meaningful resource today. (...) How knowledge behaves as an economic resource, we do not yet fully understand. We need an economic theory that puts knowledge into the center of the wealth-producing-process. It alone can explain innovation” (Drucker 1993, p. 42 and p.183).
