HBX, Harvard Business School’s Online Education Initiative, Announces Agreement with Turkey’s Özyeğin University
BOSTON—HBX, Harvard Business School’s online digital education initiative, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Özyegin University (Istanbul) to enroll its admitted MBA students in the HBX Credential of Readiness (CORe) program to learn the fundamentals of business before they enter Özyegin’s Graduate School of Business. HBX seeks to reimagine online business education through real-world problem solving and active learning, using technology to enhance Harvard Business School's mission of educating leaders who make a difference in the world. The Credential of Readiness (CORe) program is a primer on the basics of business, comprising three modules: Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting. Since its launch in June 2014, CORe has enrolled over 4,100 participants from more than 85 countries. “Harvard Business School has a history of global engagement and cooperation with leading international universities. I am thrilled that Özyegin University is the first international business school to adopt CORe as part of its curriculum.” said Harvard Business School Dean Nitin Nohria. “The Özyegin University Graduate School of Business offers innovative and cutting-edge programs that are integrated with the realities of the business world. Our collaboration with Harvard Business School’s online digital initiative, HBX, will definitely add a new dimension to our program, enabling our students to further their exceptional learning experience,” said Esra Gençtürk, Rector of Özyegin University.
