Herman B. Leonard

Eliot I. Snider and Family Professor of Business Administration
Herman B. "Dutch" Leonard teaches extensively in executive programs at the Business School and the Kennedy School and around the world in the areas of general organizational strategy, governance, performance management, crisis management and leadership, and corporate social responsibility. He currently serves as faculty chair of the Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management and Governing for Nonprofit Excellence Executive Education programs.

V. Kasturi Rangan

Malcolm P. McNair Professor of Marketing
Kasturi "Kash" Rangan served as chair of the Marketing Department from 1998-2002. He has taught in a wide variety of MBA courses, including the core first-year Marketing course and the second-year electives Business Marketing and Channels-to-Market. He has also taught marketing in the School's Advanced Management Program for senior managers. He currently co-teaches the second-year MBA elective course, Business at the Base of the Pyramid. Additionally, he is faculty chair of the Corporate Social Responsibility Executive Education program and teaches in a number of other focused executive programs, including Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management.

Rob Zeaske

Director
Rob oversees SEI’s strategy and operations, including MBA and executive education programming, alumni and practitioner engagement, and faculty research and curriculum support. Rob is a seasoned executive and social entrepreneur who has rapidly grown multiple mission-driven organizations across social issues such as education, hunger, media, and international relief and development. Prior to joining HBS, Rob supported the rapid scaling of The GroundTruth Project, home of Report For America, to address our nation’s growing crisis in local news. Previously, Rob served as CEO of Second Harvest Heartland, one of the nation’s largest hunger relief and nutrition organizations, where he launched innovative programs that became industry best practices. Before Second Harvest, Rob grew Jumpstart to a national brand through the award-winning “Read for the Record” campaign. As a Harvard Business School Leadership Fellow, Rob developed new models for program measurement and strategy at Mercy Corps. In 2018, Rob was named one of ten “Most Admired CEOs” by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal and is a previous “Forty Under 40” winner. He serves on the Stanford Alumni Association Board, is a member of Young President’s Organization, and continues to volunteer in multiple non-profit leadership roles. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University.

Margot Dushin

Director of Programs
Margot Dushin joined the Social Enterprise Initiative in 1996. Margot plays a principal role in the Social Enterprise Initiative's MBA Program activities, working with prospective and current students interested in social enterprise, leading social enterprise field-based and career efforts, and helping practitioners interact with students in a variety of ways in order to meet their organizations' goals. Before joining Social Enterprise, she worked in the School's Marketing and Communications Office on publishing and technology projects. She holds an Ed.M from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in communications and English literature from Syracuse University.

Amelia Angella

Associate Director
Amelia Angella is the Associate Director for Alumni Engagement working to leverage the Social Enterprise Initiative’s intellectual capital and network in support of alumni in social enterprise. Prior to joining HBS, Amelia was the Executive Director of Community Action Partners, a pro-bono business consulting organization of Harvard Business School and Kennedy School alumni working with Boston-area nonprofits and social enterprises. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School and prior work experience at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and John Hancock’s Bond and Corporate Finance group.

Sarah Appleby

Assistant Director
Sarah manages an array of Social Enterprise Executive Education programs which are designed to provide practitioners with opportunities to enhance their management, governance, and entrepreneurial capabilities and to achieve high performance in their organizations. Prior to this role, Sarah was as a research associate with the Social Enterprise Initiative with a focus on social enterprise scaling and impact investing. She has worked as a project manager at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative and a program coordinator for the Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center and the Jewish Multiracial Network. She holds an MBA in Nonprofit Management from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and a B.A. in education from Hampshire College.

Shelby Longland

Community Manager
Shelby plays a key role in supporting MBA program activities and alumni engagement, as well as SEI’s work with faculty and Executive Education participants. Prior to joining Social Enterprise, Shelby worked with the School’s Executive Education department supporting the Global Corporate Relations team. She holds an Ed.M in educational leadership and policy from Boston University and a B.A. in international studies and French from the University of Richmond.
